More Artists Join The Line Up For TK MAXX Presents Depot Live At Cardiff Castle
TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle just got even bigger – with more special guests announced.
British soul heroes Stone Foundation, indie rockers The Florentinas, indie-pop stars The Lilacs and classical pianist turned electro-pop trailblazer Sophie Grey have all been added to the bill for this year’s sizzling lineup in the heart of the Welsh capital.
The Florentinas will launch the summer season at Cardiff Castle, joining rock legends Snow Patrol on Thursday June 12. Later in the month, The Lilacs and Sophie Grey will take to the stage to open for 17-time GRAMMY Award winner Sting on Saturday June 28.
Stone Foundation will open for global music icon Tom Jones for his sold-out show on Wednesday August 20. They will return for Sir Tom’s second headline show on Thursday August 21.

Powerhouse eight-piece Stone Foundation are known for their rich blend of soul, funk and sharp songwriting. Over the past 25 years, they’ve built a loyal following with four consecutive UK Top 40 albums - including 2022’s Outside Looking In. In 2023, they marked their milestone year with the release of the retrospective anthology Standing In The Light.

Celebrated for their electric live shows, the band have worked extensively with Paul Weller, who has contributed vocals, production and songwriting across the past decade. Along the way, Stone Foundation have shared stages with icons including The Specials, Madness, Grace Jones, Jamiroquai and Tom Jones, all while continuing to evolve their sound and cement their place as one of the UK’s most enduring and respected live acts.
Since forming in 2019, indie rockers The Florentinas – who met at school in Bangor, Northern Ireland – have made a big impact with their hook-heavy sound. Their rise has included winning BBC Introducing Artist of the Year in 2023, earning national radio play with singles like Miami, Sandcastles, It’s Not In Vain and Weatherman, and supporting artists such as Nothing But Thieves, The Amazons and Stereophonics.

Fresh off a European tour with Snow Patrol, the band’s powerful new single YOU, marks an exciting new chapter in their journey.
High-energy indie-pop stars The Lilacs have quickly evolved from playing local venues to achieving millions of Spotify streams in just a few years. Their vibrant sound has earned them spots on BBC Radio 1 and Radio X, and earlier this year, they released their latest EP, The 395 (To Forever).

Sophie Grey is a classically trained musician turning heads with her vibrant blend of live instrumentation and sparkling electronic sounds. Drawing inspiration from her love of soulful pop, hip-hop and 80s-flavoured beats, Grey coined her signature sound as Retro Electro – also the title of her latest album. Her newest single On Hold dropped earlier this week, showcasing her bold, genre-blurring style and fresh creative direction.

TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle is presented by promoters DEPOT Live and Cuffe and Taylor.
Will Smith, Tom Jones, The Human League, James, Fontaines DC, Elbow, Sting, The Script, Jess Glynne and UB40 featuring Ali Campbell are also among the headliners at the historic Welsh venue this summer.
TK Maxx has joined Depot Live, and promoters Cuffe and Taylor as the presenting partner, underscoring its continued support of the arts and local communities.
This new presenting partnership is part of a three-year agreement with Cuffe & Taylor, covering shows across the country, including Scarborough Open Air Theatre, The Piece Hall, Lytham Festival, Derby Summer Sessions, Plymouth Summer Sessions, Bedford Summer Sessions, and Southampton Summer Sessions.
